THINGS ARE A LITTLE DIFFERENT NOW A DAYS - BUT WE ARE MOMS.
STAY UNITED, KEEP IN TOUCH, & SHARE IDEAS.
THAT'S HOW WE CAN DO THIS.
This is what we did. . .
We recently went on a COVID-SAFE family vacation. My Family, My In laws, & brother's family all quarantined for 2 weeks and then did a test and waited for the results to come back negative before we got together.
Once we were together we celebrated early several birthdays and decided to throw an at home Halloween since we were all together & the kids have no idea when Halloween is anyways.
We Decorated, Carved Pumpkins From The Garden, & Made some Halloween Crafts. We all wore costumes, we brought lollipops, stocking stuffer type toys, & planned out some games.
RECOMMENDED: Crock Pot Dinner - or something that can be baked is a great dinner recommendation because you can play games while dinner is cooking.
Cooking An Easier Way
The Different Room Doors
The House Interior Was Decorated
LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
> Halloween Toy Items Were placed In a Bowl With 2 Cooking Pots & Cooking Utensils
> The Kids Just "cooked" & Played With The Insects, spider webs, & Halloween Themed Toys as they added them into the pots!
> This kept them busy for about 45 mins+
"BOWL OF WORMS, INSECTS, & EYEBALLS"
> Spaghetti noodles filled bowl with plastic eyeballs... and plastic insects.
> We let the children do some sensory play first for about 15 mins
> Then we played a timed game of, Who Can Get All The Eyeballs Out The Fastest With Your Eyes Closed!
Adults & Children Were Laughing & Having Fun!
"Vampire Fang Game"
> Next We Played Pin The Tail On The Donkey But I love This Cute Vampire Version Better, For Theme Sake.
Why are they so happy???
Bubble Guns, Fidget Toys, Glow Sticks, Play-Doh, Halloween Party Favor Kit Toys, Organic Lollipops, Organic Snacks, Organic Cookies, Sunglasses, Light Up Watches, & Juice Boxes They Drank Right Away!
Why am I Happy? Less Sugar - More Fun
I get it, Halloween is about candy...
They got some candy as you can see but it is not an obscene amount!
While The Children Were Playing my husband divided the "Treats" into the
Decorated rooms where they children would be visiting while Trick Or Treating....
These are some of the items that were in the bags.
Don't Forget a Juice!
That is always a hit after everyone is hot from their costume!
After Dinner, We All Broke Up Into The Rooms. I took my children to see my husband 1st at his "station"
Then To My Brother Family, and Each Parent Had a Room/ Door they manned.
Lastly, upstairs to my Mother & Father In law who manned 2 more doors.
Next, My brother's family went and my children & I manned his station.
Next, My In laws Took all the grandchildren (3), my brother's family was back, & I took over their station
We rotated, giving everyone a turn and helping the children do more trips.
After all the Trick Or Treating Was Done We Ended Up On The Rooftop Deck Enjoying The Moon, Some Halloween Music, Organic Manuka Honey Lollipops, & Each Other's Company.
